Ludger Rémy was born on February 4, 1949, in Kalkar and died on June 21, 2017.
He was a German harpsichordist, conductor and musicologist.
Rémy’s main interest was to research German music of the 17th and 18th century and to revive the discovered works in performances and recordings, taking into account their position in historic and literary context.
During 1994, Ludger founded the orchestra Les Amis de Philippe, named after Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach.
Ludger Rémy passed away at 68 years old.
