Belton Richard was born on October 5, 1939, in Rayne, Louisiana and died on June 21, 2017.

He was a Cajun accordionist.

Richard was known for his baritone vocal range.

Richard founded The Musical Aces in 1959 after a stint playing rock and roll and swamp pop.

Throughout his tenure, Belton released many popular songs, including “Un Autre Soir Ennuyant,” “Pardon Waltz,” and “Waltz of No Return.” Another notable song is “Cajun Streak,” an inspired translation of Ray Stevens’ novelty hit.

Belton Richard passed away at 77 years old.
