Gurcharan Chabbra, Indian politician, Died at 65

Gurcharan Chabbra died on November 3, 2015.
She was an Indian politician and prohibition activist, Rajasthan MLA.
Chabbra was in a coma for the past couple of days and put on ventilator support.
Around July 23, Gurcharan had written a letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje requesting her to fulfil her promises.
The response was not positive, Gurcharan sat in protest on the 2nd of October.
Gurcharan begun his fast unto death for the fourth time on and was admitted to the hospital on October 6, 2015.
Gurcharan was released a few days later, but was re-admitted to SMS hospital on October 17, 2015.
The Former chief minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said the anti-liquor crusader died due to the “insensitive” attitude of the Rajasthan government.
“If the Chief Minister had tried to meet him and persuaded him to end his fast, Chhabra might have been saved,” Gehlot said.
Gurcharan Chabbra passed away at age 65 due to hunger strike.
