Chinese entrepreneur and politician, Wang Guangying, Died at 99

Wang Guangying was born in July 1919 and died on October 29, 2018.

He was a Chinese entrepreneur and politician.

He was a Chinese business person and legislator, a standout amongst the most conspicuous “red industrialists”, a title gave on him by Premier Zhou Enlai.

Guangying established Modern Chemical Works during the 1940s and filled in as Founding Chairman of China Everbright Group during the 1980s.

Guangying was the sibling of Wang Guangmei, the spouse of President Liu Shaoqi, and was aggrieved and detained amid the Cultural Revolution when Liu was expelled by Mao Zedong.

Guangying was restored after Mao’s passing and filled in as Vice Chairperson of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairperson of the National People’s Congress (NPC).

Wang passed away in Beijing at 99 years old.
