William Hjortsberg, American novelist and screenwriter, Died at 76


William “Gatz” Hjortsberg was born on February 23, 1941, and died on April 22, 2017.

He was an American novelist and screenwriter.

Hjortsberg was best known for writing the screenplay of the film Legend.

William Hjortsberg’s novel Falling Angel was the basis for the film Angel Heart (1987).

He died due to pancreatic cancer.

William Hjortsberg passed away 76 years old.
