Sotirios “Sam” Panopoulos was born in 1934 and died on June 8, 2017.

He was a Greek-born Canadian cook and businessman.

He was most famous as the inventor of Hawaiian pizza.

Sam moved to Canada in the early 1950’s.

He had a wife, who is Christina, they were married for 50 years.

The couple had two children.

Sam died unexpectedly at University Hospital in London, Ontario.

Sam Panopoulos passed away at 82 years old.
