Robert Bergland


American politician Robert Selmer Bergland was born on July 22, 1928, and died on December 9, 2018.

Robert Bergland was a member of the House of Representatives from Minnesota’s 7th congressional district from 1971 to 1977, and he served as United States Secretary of Agriculture from 1977 until 1981, during the administration of President Jimmy Carter.

In 1950, Helen Elaine Grahn became his wife.

Together they had seven children.

Robert Bergland passed away at 90 years old at a nursing home in Roseau.
