Noah Klieger

Israeli journalist and sports administrator was born on Noah Klieger July 31, 1926 and died on December 13, 2018.

Noah Klieger is a Holocaust survivor from concentration camps Auschwitz and Ravensbruck, covered trials of Nazi criminals after the end of World War II, and later worked as a sports journalist in Israel.

Klieger also was the president of the basketball club Maccabi Tel Aviv and chairman of the FIBA’s media council.

Klieger was awarded FIBA Order of Merit, and in 2012 became a Chevalier of the Legion d’honneur in 2010.

During 2015, he was inducted into FIBA Hall of Fame as a contributor.

He passed away at 92 years old, after several years of ill health caused by a heart condition.

Noah Klieger’s final column for Yedioth Ahronoth was published on 11 December and commemorated 80 years of that newspaper.
