Fernando Macarro Castillo was born on January 20, 1920, in Alconada and died on November 24, 2016, in Madrid.
He was better known by his pseudonym, Marcos Ana.
He was a Spanish poet and political prisoner.
Under the Francoist Spain, Ana was imprisoned at the age of 19 in 1939.
Ana spent 23 years in prison, being released in 1961 and exiled in Paris.
Marcos told his story in his 2007 publication Ditemi com’è un albero.
