Julio Lacarte Muró was born on March 29, 1918, and died on March 4, 2016.
He was an Uruguayan diplomat and politician.
He was a standing member of the Colorado Party, he ran for Vice-President in 1966.
Muro served as the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the cabinet of President Oscar Gestido, in 1967.
Also, he served in several diplomatic and commercial posts: LAFTA, GATT, WTO, UNCTAD, IBRD, OAS.
