James Blyden Jenkins-Johnston was born on October 2, 1946, and died on September 9, 2016.

He was a lawyer.

He came from Sierra Leone known for his pursuit of the advancement of ordinary Sierra Leoneans through governance-challenging social commentary; defending human rights, constitutionalism & rule of law; and personal philanthropy.

Jenkins-Johnston was a steadfast champion of workers’ rights, and legal adviser to the Sierra Leone Labour Congress for over 30 years.

Jenkins-Johnston passed away at 69 years old.
