Hans Olav Tungesvik was born on May 22, 1936 in Skånevik, Hordaland and died on June 16, 2017.
He was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.
Hans was the son of a farmer, Tungesvik graduated from the University of Oslo with a cand.med. degree in 1964 and became a specialist in psychiatry in 1975.
Other than politics, Hans worked as a psychiatrist.
He was a member of Kvinnherad municipality council from 1967 to 1969 and Etne municipality council from 1971 to 1975.
Tungesvik was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland in 1977, and was re-elected once.
Tungesvik was the chairman of Noregs Mållag from 1965 to 1970. His son Steinulf Tungesvik got this post in 2005, and is involved in national politics too.
Tungesvik died due to injuries sustained after a collision between his bike and another vehicle.
Hans Olav Tungesvik passed away at 81 years old.
