Gwilym Prys-Davies, Baron Prys-Davies was born on December 8, 1923 and died on March 28, 2017.
He was a Welsh Labour politician.
He was born in the town of Llanegryn, in Meirionnydd.
Davies served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War, on fleets traveling the North Atlantic.
When the war ended, Davies went to Aberystwyth University to study law. This is where he met Llinos Evans, to whom he would be married for over 50 years until her death in 2010.
As of 1956, Davies had qualified as a solicitor and was working at a legal practice in Pontypridd, pioneering the use of the Welsh language in the courts.
Gwilym Prys-Davies passed away at 93 years old.
