Francois Dagognet, born on April 24, 1924 and died October 2, 2015, Francois was a French philosopher.

Francois was born in Langres. He studied both science and philosophy, and was a student of Georges Canguilhem.

He was professor of philosophy at the University of Lyon before becoming professor of philosophy at Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

Francois has written extensively on the philosophy of the body.

He died at age 91 on October 2, 2015.
