Eva Henning\Eva Wetlesen was born on May 10, 1920, in Newark, New York, United States and died on April 18, 2016, in Oslo, Norway.

She was a Swedish stage and movie actress.

She was trained at the Royal Dramatic Theatre’s acting school (1938–40) in Sweden and made her film debut the same year in Ragnar Arvedson’s Gentleman att hyra.

That big breakthrough came in Åke Ohberg’s Elvira Madigan (1943).

Eva was most famous for her leading roles in many of husband Hasse Ekmans films in the 1940s and 50s.

She was married to Swedish film director and actor Hasse Ekman 1946-53 and from 1954 to Norwegian actor Toralv Maurstad (they later divorced).

Eva was a stepdaughter to the Swedish stage actor Uno Henning.

Henning the mother of children’s writer and illustrator Fam Ekman.

Eva Henning passed away at 95 yrs old.
