Enitan Abisogun Bababunmi was born in  September 1940 and died on May 29, 2017.

He was a Nigerian academic and a Professor of Biochemistry.

Bababunmi served as the third Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University between 1993 – 1996.

He was granted a patent by the United States government in 2002 after he produced a formulation that would prevent muscle atrophy in AIDS and cancer patients.

Enitan Bababunmi passed away at 76 years old.
