Edward Gale Latter was born on February 29, 1928, and died on August 29, 2016.

He was a New Zealand politician of the National Party.

Latter’s parents were Edward Circuit Le Clere Latter and Moana Latter (née Gale).

Edward received his education from Hapuku Primary, Kaikoura District High School, and Christ’s College.

Anne Morton Ollivier was his wife, they had a daughter of Arthur Ollivier, in 1952.

Latter represented the Marlborough electorate from 1975.

Edward retired at the next general election in 1978 due to ill-health.

Edward Latter passed away at 88 years old.
