Dorival Mateus da Costa was born on February 18, 2015, in Brazil, and died November 3, 2015.

Dorival was Brazilian champion in 1985, he played for Coritiba Foot Ball Club.

He was also the champion of Parana Coritiba in 1979, and again the Bahia bi-champion for Esporte Clube Vitória (1990 and 1991).

Dorival was the winner of the Rio Cup for Bangu Atletico Clube in 1987.
