Craig Graham Sager, Sr. was born on June 29, 1951, and died on December 15, 2016.
He was an American sideline reporter, covering sports for an array of broadcast and cable television companies.
He was best-known for his television work beside the courts of the National Basketball Association, in which he invariably sported an example from his vast collection of preposterously garish suits.
He graduated from Northwestern University in 1973, earning a bachelor’s degree in speech.

He had a total of five children from two marriages during his life.
He had one son from his first marriage, Craig Sager, Jr., was a walk-on wide receiver at the University of Georgia.
He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and missed the entire 2014 NBA Playoffs.
During late March 2016, he announced his leukemia had returned.
Craig Sager passed away at 65 years old.
