Comply Or Die died in 2016.

He was a British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse.

The horse was owned by David Johnson.

The horse was ridden by Timmy Murphy and trained by David Pipe he was the winner of the £450,640 2008 John Smith’s Grand National at Aintree Racecourse, run on Saturday 5 April 2008.

Comply or Die pushed ahead at the last fence to win from the grey King John’s Castle .

However, bookmakers ‘William Hill’ acknowledge that his victory had cost the chain 7 million GBP.

During the John Smith’s Grand National race on the 4th of April 2009, Comply Or Die finished 2nd place at odds of 14-1.

Comply or Die had carried approximately one extra stone of weight than in his previous Grand National and lost to Mon Mome.

Comply Or Die took part in 2 additional Grand Nationals in the coming two years.

He subsequently finished 12th in 2010 and was pulled up before 3rd last fence in 2011. After that, Comply Or Die was immediately retired.

On Monday, May 9, 2016, he was cremated, after having died over the weekend.

Mr.David Pipe pronounced that Comply or Die had been involved in dressage events since his retirement, and was “greatly saddened to hear of his loss.

Comply or Die passed away at 17 yrs old.
