A. A. Raiba was born July 20, 1922, and died April 16, 2016.

He was a contemporary Indian artist.

Raiba received his educated at the Sir J. J. School of Art in Bombay (1942–46), Raiba started painting professionally in the early 1950s.

A.A Raiba was the winner of several medals from the Bombay Art Society: Bronze and silver medals, 1957-50; and the Gold medal in 1956.

Most of his paintings are in collections in the Cairo Museum, Egypt, in the Nagpur Museum, and in the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi.

Raiba work has been shown in over 20 exhibitions.

The artist painted several large murals for clients such as Air India and Ashoka Hotel.

Some of his work was characterised by bold shapes, strong outlines, and simple use of sophisticated color.

A. A. Raiba landscapes often use a deliberately naive perspective.

A. A. Raiba passed away at 94 yrs old.
