Zoltán Szabó, Hungarian cardiac surgeon, Died at 86

Zoltán Szabó was born in 1957 and died on December 6, 2015.

He was a Hungarian cardiac surgeon, he performed nation’s first successful heart transplant.

In 1976, he attended Bolyai Farkas high school Liceul, in Rumania

Zoltán attended the Medical University; Institutul de Medicina si Farmacie in 1983.

In 2010 he attended the Linköping University to receive his Associated Professor of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Hälsouniversitetet.

He also served as a Part time Senior Lecturer at Linköping University, then he became a senior lecturer.

Zoltán spoke several languages including; Hungarian, Swedish, English, Rumanian, German, French.

He was a resident at 2 Surgical Clinic Debrecen Medical University, Hungary.

Szabó won the first prize for the best oral presentation at the Thorax meeting in Linköping.

Zoltán Szabó passed away 86 yrs old.
