Zhao Liping, Chinese politician, Died at 65

Zhao Liping was born in August 1951 and died on May 26, 2017.
He was a Chinese police chief and politician.
Liping spent most of his career in Inner Mongolia.
Liping served as the head of the region’s Public Security Department, Vice-Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Vice-Chairman of the regional political advisory body.
He was also a writer.
Liping was arrested by police in the eastern Inner Mongolian city of Chifeng in March 2015 on charges of “intentional homicide” (i.e., first-degree murder).
Liping was the first known provincial-level official to be charged with intentional homicide in the history of the People’s Republic of China.
Zhao Liping passed away at 65 years old.
