Yuriy Mikhaylovich Poyarkov was born on February 10, 1937, in Kharkiv and died on February 10, 2017, Kharkiv.

He was a Ukrainian volleyball player.

He competed for the Soviet Union in the 1964 Summer Olympics, in the 1968 Summer Olympics, and in the 1972 Summer Olympics.

During 1964, Poyarkov was part of the Soviet team which won the gold medal in the Olympic tournament. He played eight matches.

Yuriy Poyarkov passed away at 80 years old.
