Yuri Yeliseyev was born on August 29, 1996, and died on November 26, 2016.

He was a Russian chess Grandmaster.

Yuri won the Under-16 section of World Youth Chess Championship in 2012 and was awarded the Grandmaster title in 2013 at the age of 17.

Yuri Yeliseyev won the 2016 Moscow Open.

Yuri Yeliseyev was ranked 212th in the world and 42nd in Russia, with an Elo rating of 2614.

He died after falling from a balcony on the 12th floor of a Moscow apartment block.

Yuri Yeliseyev death was reported by his friend and fellow Grandmaster Daniil Dubov, who said that Yeliseyev had been trying to climb from a window to the balcony but slipped.

Yuri Yeliseyev passed away at 20 years old.
