Witold Zagórski was born on September 25, 1930, in Warsaw, and died on June 30, 2016.

Witold Zagórski was a player of Polonia Warszawa and CWKS Legia Warszawa teams.

Over the years, from 1961 to 1975 he was a coach of Poland national basketball team.

With the same team, he won 5th place at FIBA World Championship (1967), three medals of European Championships (Eurobasket): silver (1963) and twice brown (1965, 1967).

The Poland national team under Zagórski played three times at the Olympics (1964 Tokyo, 1968 Mexico City, 1972 Munich).

Zagórski was a coach of European basketball team (7 times)(1967–1973).
