Witold Sobociński

Polish cinematographer Witold Sobociński was born on October 15, 1929, and died on November 19, 2018.

He was a Polish cinematographer, academic teacher as well as former jazz musician.

He was an alum of the prestigious National Film School in Łódź.

While in school, Sobociński was an individual from the pioneer jazz band Melomani, in which he played the drums.

After graduation, Sobociński worked with Polish Television and Film Studios Czolowka, as a cameraman.

In 1967 Sobociński appeared as a cinematographer.

He collaborated with a few outstanding chiefs, including Andrzej Wajda, Krzysztof Zanussi and Roman Polanski.

Starting in 1980, Sobociński was a speaker at the Film School in Łódź.

He was granted a few prizes; he likewise co-delivered various striking motion pictures.

Sobociński’s child Piotr Sobociński (1958 – 2001) was likewise a cinematographer.

Witold Sobociński passed away at 89 years old.
