William W. “Bill” Carmody, American Catholic priest, Died at 58

William Bill Carmody/William W Carmody was born on September 26, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, U.S. and died on February 23, 2016.

He was a American Catholic priest.

In 1981, he graduated from Indiana State University with a master’s degree in athletic training and worked for three years as a high-school athletic trainer in Mission, Texas.

He had percipient a call to become a Catholic priest, he enrolled in Holy Trinity Seminary at the University of Dallas in 1984, where he studied for two years.

William completed his seminary studies at St. Thomas Seminary in Denver and was ordained a priest by Bishop Emeritus Richard Hanifen, on June 2, 1990.

Early after his ordination, William was named the first director of the “Respect Life Office” of the Diocese of Colorado Springs.

Whlist he was a parochial vicar at Corpus Christi Parish, in 1994, Father Carmody introduced the Project Rachel program, which helps men and women suffering from the traumatic effects of abortion.

Father Carmody also began celebrating weekly Masses in front of Planned Parenthood, in May 1994, which he continued to do faithfully until November 2015.
