Wilfried Van Durme, born on June 24, 1931, and passed away October 11, 2015, Wilfried were a Belgian politician for Agalev and Green.

Wilfried master study at the Provincial Technical Institute in Eeklo, he was one of the founders of the green movement and political party Agalev, forerunner of Green.

He was for a time editor of the Greens, the party magazine of Agalev.

He was an MP from 1985 to 1991 and was also a member of the Flemish Council.

In municipal politics, he was active, as a councillor of Eeklo during three periods: 1996-2000, 2001-2006 and 2010-2012.

He was in Eeklo chairman of the Cultural Council and the board of directors of the Theater’s Herb Akker.

Wilfried died at age 83 in 2015.
