Vladimir Kagan was born on August 29, 1927, and died on April 7, 2016.

He was an American furniture designer.

Kagan opened his first personal shop in New York in 1949.

Vladimir Kagan was inducted in the Interior Designer Hall of Fame in 2009, 62 years after he started designing and producing furniture.

Also, his style was said to have inspired by everything from antiques and nature to the Bauhaus, emphasizes comfort and functionality.

Vladimir Kagan was married to the embroidery designer Erica Wilson (died 2011).

The couple had three children.
