Valerie “Val” Muriel Jellay was born on September 25, 1927 and died on May 6, 2017.

She was an Australian actress, soubrette, singer, dancer, and author.

Val’s husband was fellow Australian actor and comedian Maurie Fields.

Val also appeared in Prisoner as Mabel Morgan, and in Neighbours as Connie O’Rourke

Together, they considered to be a duo act in the entertainment industry.

Jellay was a staple on the small screen from 1957 until her death.

She died from complications of pneumonia, after having been on life support.

Val Jellay passed away at 89 years old.
