V. K. Rao

Indian Civil Service officer and former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, and the oldest living former officer of the Indian Civil Service at the time of his death Valluri Kameswara Rao was born on July 15, 1914, and died on November 28, 2018.

He served in the common administration of the British Raj as a gatherer and judge.

After Independence Rao joined the Indian government’s back division and moved into the recently established Indian Administrative Service.

During 1953, V. K. Rao exchanged to Andhra State after it was established.

After the establishing of Andhra Pradesh in 1956, Rao became that detail’s first secretary of open works.

Later, he served as the local government on the Planning Commission before coming back to Andhra Pradesh as its main secretary.

He was important secretary to the President of India Neelam Sanjiva Reddy from 1981 to 1982.

V. K. Rao passed away at 104 years old.
