Trisha Brown was born on November 25, 1936, in Aberdeen, Washington, and died on March 18, 2017.

She was an American choreographer and dancer, and one of the founders of the Judson Dance Theater and the postmodern dance movement.

She received a B.A. degree in dance from Mills College in 1958.

Later, she received a D.F.A. from Bates College in 2000.

During the summer time she studied with Louis Horst, José Limón, and Merce Cunningham at the American Dance Festival, then held at Connecticut College.

She died in San Antonio, Texas.

Trisha Brown passed away at 80 years old.
