Tony Mangan, Australian vintner Died

  Business

Tony Mangan died on November 6, 2015. He was an Australian vintner.

Tony was unable to get satisfactory outlets in Australia, so he then arranged for container loads of product to be sent to market areas in China.

In the 80’s The company Mangan Developments Pty Ltd, was formed, which owns a number of operations in three States and the Cessna 310.

The Mangan Group operated a transport company which included wine grape carting and a company which sourced and sold nitrogenious Fertilizers, including being the main supplier in Australia of Calcium Chloride.

The Mangan company has a number of horticultural properties in Pomona with its main office on the River Road at Boeil Creek.

Tony Originally started out of their own need to find ways to enhance organic matter in soils, and a need to eliminate unnecessary water usage.

Tony became recognized when he began house building as Mangan and Gifford.

During this time he started his own construction business and developed many projects.

In the world of viticulture, Tony became one of the largest private grape growers in Australia.

For the last 25 years the founders of Bolder TM Tony and Julie Mangan have been at the forefront of innovation in the viticulture and horticulture industries.

In recent months, Tony tried to develop a market for his wine in China because – despite winning awards at major wine shows – he was unable to get his wine bottles into the supermarket wine selling outlets.

The first bottling of BolderTM wine took place in October 2014, not long after in 2012, Don’t Hesitate Cabernet won a double Gold award at a China Wine Show.

This year Tony took his wine to a stand in a wine show in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Tony also succeeded in getting his wine stocked and sold in Sweden during June.

He also had a stand at a wine show in Chong ching, China.

Tony Mangan passed away on November 6, 2015 in a plane crash.
