Chinese politician Tömür Dawamat was born on June 1927 in Toksun, Xinjiang, China and died on December 18, 2018.

Tömür Dawamat was the chairman of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China from 1985 to 1993.

He was an ethnic Uyghur.

Dawamat began his working profession in May 1950 and later turned into the nearby pioneer from 1954 to 1964.

Dawamat held high position in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Revolution Committee from 1968 to 1979, and after that ended up Chief of the People’s Congress of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region before he accepting office as the director of Xinjiang in 1985.

After his chairmanship, Dawamat was an individual from the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

Tömür Dawamat passed away at 91 years old.
