Tom Hayden, American writer, politician and activist, Died at 76

Thomas Emmet “Tom” Hayden was born on December 11, 1939, and died on October 23, 2016.

He was an American social and political activist, author and politician.

He was director of the Peace and Justice Resource Center in Los Angeles County, California.

He was best known best for his major role as an anti-war, civil rights, and radical intellectual counterculture activist.

And Hayden was the former husband of actress Jane Fonda and the father of actor Troy Garity.

He lived in Los Angeles and was married to his third wife, who was actress Barbara Williams, at the time of his death.

Tom and Williams adopted a son, Liam (born 2000).

Tom Hayden died in Santa Monica, California.

He had a lengthy illness which included a stroke.

Tom Hayden passed away at 76 years old.
