Tibetan diplomat, Lodi Gyari, Died at 69

Lodi Gyaltsen Gyari Rinpoche or Kasur Lodi Gyari was born in 1949, in Xinlong County and died on October 29, 2018.

He was the special envoy to the 14th Dalai Lama in the United States.

Lodi Gyari went into exile in India in 1959, where he developed political activities.

With others, he co-founded the Tibetan Youth Congress.

Later, Gyari became the executive chairman of the board of the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT).

He died from liver cancer at a San Francisco hospital.

Lodi Gyari passed away at 69 years old.
