Thai businessman and football club owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, Died at 61

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was born on June 5, 1958, and died on October 27, 2018.

He was a Thai billionaire businessman.

Srivaddhanaprabha was the organizer, proprietor, and director of King Power Duty-Free.

Srivaddhanaprabha was likewise the proprietor of Premier League football club Leicester City from 2010 until the point that his passing in a helicopter crash at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

Srivaddhanaprabha was the author and CEO of King Power Duty-Free, an administrator of obligation-free shops.

In December 2009, King Power got the illustrious warrant from the King of Thailand in a function gone to by Raksriaksorn.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was positioned by Forbes magazine as the seventh most extravagant man in Thailand, supposedly worth US$3.3 billion.

In August 2010, the Asia Football Investments consortium including Srivaddhanaprabha and his child Aiyawatt acquired English Football League Championship club Leicester City.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha succeeded Milan Mandarić as administrator of the club in February 2011 while proceeding as proprietor, and Aiyawatt turned into the bad habit executive.

Amid July 2011, the club’s once in the past named Walkers Stadium was renamed the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City proceeded to win the 2015– 16 Premier League title.

In the blink of an eye before the 2016– 17 season, Srivaddhanaprabha skilled 19 players a BMW i8—at £100,000 each—as a present for winning the title.

Srivaddhanaprabha was naturally introduced to a Thai Chinese family.

He was hitched to Aimon Srivaddhanaprabha, with whom he had four kids: Voramas, Apichet, Aroonroong, and Aiyawatt.

Amid 2012, the King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej gave the family the new surname of Srivaddhanaprabha, which signifies “light of dynamic radiance”.

He was granted a privileged doctorate as a Doctor of Laws by the University of Leicester in 2016

In May 2017, he purchased his second football club, OH Leuven in Belgium.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha passed away at 61  years old.
