Terrence Eddy Backer was born on August 3, 1954, and died on December 14, 2015 from brain cancer.
He was an American politician who served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from 1993 until his death in 2015.
Terrence was born in 1954 in Stamford, Connecticut, the son of Henry Jacob Backer Jr. and Cathrine Lagana Backer.
He attended public schools in Norwalk, Connecticut, and later earned a license as a Merchant Marine Officer from the United States Coast Guard Examining Unit in New York City.
Terrence also received an Arborist license from the Connecticut Tree Examining Board certifying him as an expert in the care of trees.
He was engaged in lobster and shellfishing with his father, Henry, in the Long Island Sound for many years.
Terrence Eddy Backer passed away on December 14, 2015 in Bridgeport, from brain cancer.
