Tanzanian politician, Muhammed Seif Khatib, Died at 70

Muhammed Seif Khatib was born on January 10, 1951, and died on February 15, 2021.

He was a Tanzanian CCM politician and Member of Parliament for Uzini constituency since 1995.

He was the National Youth Chairman of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) from 1978 to 1983 and was a member of the CCM’s National Executive Council from 1978 to 2002.

Following his term as the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office concerning Information, Khatib was the Minister of Information, Culture and Sports in the Cabinet named on January 4, 2006.

Thereafter, on February 12, 2008, Khatib was named Minister in the Vice-President’s Office for Union Affairs.

Muhammed Khatib passed away on February 15, 2021, in Unguja.
