Susan Jane Tolchin/Susan Jane Goldsmith was born on January 14, 1941, in Manhattan and died May 18, 2016.
She was an American political scientist.
Her parents were Jacob Goldsmith, a lawyer, and his wife Dorothy (née Markowitz), a teacher.
She graduated from Bryn Mawr College, the University of Chicago and New York University.
Susan Tolchin was a teacher at Mount Vernon College, and George Mason University.
In 1956, Susan Tolchin was married to journalist Martin Tolchin , and coauthored many books on American politics.
She died due to ovarian cancer.
Susan Tolchin passed away at 75 yrs old.
