She was an Australian socialite.
Susan Renouf title was acquired through her third marriage to New Zealand businessman Sir Frank Renouf.
Her birth name was Susan Rossiter.
Sir John Rossiter was her father, a politician, and mother Joan Stewart.
She had been was married three times:
Her first husband was Andrew Peacock, prominent Australian politician (in 1963), and theRobert Sangster, British gambling tycoon (thoroughbred racing) (in 1978) and Sir Frank Renouf, New Zealand financier (in 1985).
Susan daughters included Jane Chapple-Hyam, a racehorse trainer in Britain; and Ann Peacock, a television presenter and former wife of Michael Kroger.
During 1968, Susan was the focus of a minor political scandal in Australia when she appeared in print advertisements for Sheridan brand bedsheets while her husband, Andrew Peacock, was a minister in the Australian federal government.
During 1988, her third husband, Sir Frank Renouf, outlaid what was at the time the highest-ever price for a Sydney home, when he bought the mansion “Paradis sur Mer” in Wolseley Crescent at Point Piper, where the vendor was her second husband, Robert Sangster.
The house was eventually demolished.
Apparently, she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Susan Renouf passed away at 74 years old.
