George Stephen (Steve) Camacho, born on October 15, 1945 and died October 2, 2015.

Steve was a West Indian cricketer who played in eleven Tests from 1968 to 1971 as an opening batsman and occasional leg-spin bowler.

Steve was part of the West Indian side for four series: 1967-68, 1968-69, 1969, 1970-71.

After retirement in 1979, Steve served West Indies cricket as selector then secretary and later as chief executive of the West Indies Cricket Board.

He was the author of a book Cricket at Bourda: Celebrating the Georgetown Cricket Club (2007, ISBN 978-9769507586; ISBN 976950758X).

Steve Camacho died on October 2, 2015 at age 69.
