Stanley Gordon “Stan” Jones was born on November 22, 1949, and died February 6, 2017.
He was an American educator and politician.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jones moved to West Lafayette, Indiana in 1967.
During 1974, Stan received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
He served in the Indiana House of Representatives and was a Democrat, from 1975 to 1990.
Later, from 1995 to 2009, Jones served as Indiana Higher Education commissioner.
During 2009, Jones founded Complete College America.
He died at his home in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Stan Jones passed away at 67 years old.
