Russian heavyweight freestyle Olympic wrestler Soslan Andiyevborn was born on April 21, 1952, and died on November 22, 2018.

Soslan Andiyev was an Olympic victor in 1976 and 1980, best on the planet in 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1978, European hero in 1974, 1975 and 1982, and Soviet boss in 1973– 78 and 1980.

Andiyev won the World Cup in 1976 and 1981, yet missed the 1984 Olympics because of their blacklist by the Soviet Union and resigned that year.

After that, Andiyev previously filled in as a national wrestling mentor, yet in 1989 came back to his local Ossetia to wind up a games functionary.

Soslan Andiyev filled in as VP of the Russian Olympic Committee, in 1990– 98.

During 2006 Soslan Andiyev was enlisted into the FILA Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Andiyev had one sister, Svetlana, and two siblings, Genady and Sergey; both were driving Soviet heavyweight free-form wrestlers.

Their mom was Russian and father was Ossetian.

Father was 2.18 m tall and weighed 136 kg, and was a territorial wrestling champion; he kicked the bucket when Soslan was eight years of age.

Genady, at 18 years of age, was the oldest kin at the time; he moved toward becoming the leader of the family and later trained Soslan.

After four years, in 1964, Soslan conveyed Soslan to the wrestling club, to proceed with the family custom.

In 1971 Genady, Sergey and Soslan turned out to be first, second and third, individually, at the Russian titles.

Soslan Andiyev passed away at 66 years old.
