Sol Polansky was born on November 7, 1926, in Newark, New Jersey and died on January 7, 2016.
He was an American diplomat.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1950.
Sol then went to Columbia University and attended the Russian Institute from 1950 to 1952.
In 1972, he went to the National War College in Washington, D. C..
Sol had joined the United States Foreign Service in 1962; he was stationed in the Soviet Union, Poland, and West Berlin.
Sol Polansky was also stationed in East Germany from 1976 to 1979 and in Austria.
He was the United States Ambassador to Bulgaria, from 1987 until 1990.
Sol Polansky passed away at 89 yrs old.
