Darijan Božič was born on April 29, 1933, in Slavonski Brod, Kingdom of Yugoslavia and died on October 27, 2018.

He was a Slovenian composer and conductor.

His parents were Ivo and Ana Nuša as the younger of two children.

At 7 years old, the family moved to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, then a Yugoslav republic.

Božič went to the Ljubljana Academy of Music, finishing his investigations with Lucijan Marija Škerjanc (piece) in 1958 and with Danilo Švara (leading) in 1961.

Božič joined the Pro Musica Viva gathering of authors in 1962 and won the Prešern Award of the Ljubljana Academy.

Presently, he ended up right-hand director of the Slovene National Theater Opera and Ballet Company in Ljubljana and from 1970 to 1974, was creative chief of Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Somewhere in the range of 1980 and 1995, he held a showing position at the University of Ljubljana and the University of Maribor.

In 1995, Božič turned into a supervisor and craftsman chief of The Slovene National Theater Opera and Ballet Ljubljana.

He resigned in 1998.

Darijan Božič passed away at 85 years old.
