Sir John Arnold Clark was born on November 27, 1927 and died on April 10, 2017.

He was a Scottish billionaire businessman.

During 1954, he opened a showroom in Glasgow and found some success selling cars.

Clark enlarged his business and Arnold Clark Automobiles became a nationwide chain of motor dealerships and the largest privately owned business in Scotland.

He maintained his business family-owned for more than sixty years, remaining the chairman and chief executive.

During 2016, Clark became the first billionaire car dealer in Britain.

He had four sons from his first marriage, but his son Norman died in 1995 in Helensburgh at the age of 33.

Clark’s second wife is Philomena.

John had ten children, six sons and four daughters
