Sir Alan Bedford Urwick was born on May 2, 1930, and died on December 8, 2016.
He was a British diplomat.
He was educated at Dragon School in Oxford, Rugby School, and New College, Oxford.
He joined the British diplomatic service in 1952 and undertook tours of duty in Western Europe, the Middle East, Moscow, and Washington, D.C.
Alan Urwick served as the United Kingdom’s ambassador to Jordan (1979–1984), Egypt (1985–1987), as well as High Commissioner to Canada (1987–1989).
Alan Urwick left the diplomatic service in 1989.
Urick then served as Serjeant-at-Arms of the House of Commons until his retirement in 1995.
Alan Urwick passsed away at 86 years old.
