Francisco Jozenilton Veloso was born on May 8, 1971, in Coremas, Paraíba, Brazil and died on January 14, 2016, Campina Grande, Paraíba, Brazil.
He’s better known by his pseudonym and stage name Shaolin.
Shaolin was a Brazilian cartoonist, caricaturist, humorist, comedian and media presenter.
Shaolin began his career at the Teatro Municipal Severino Cabral in Campina Grande.
Velose also worked as a presenter on Rádio Campina Grande and drew cartoons for the newspapers A Palavra, Jornal da Paraíba and Revista Nordeste.
Francisco Velose married Laudiceia Veloso, in December 1994.
The couple had 2 children.
Shaolin best-known shows are Domingão do Faustão; A Praça É Nossa; Show do Tom; and most recently Tudo è Possível (“All is possible”) with Ana Hickmann, in which he ridiculed Brazilian celebrities, for example, Leonardo, Joelma (singer in the duo Banda Calypso) and Zezé di Camargo.
He was seriously injured in a traffic accident when his car collided with a truck in Campina Grande on the highway BR-230.On January 19, 2011,
Continuously until May he remained in a coma in intensive care and then left the hospital, to go home although he had not recovered from his injuries.
Shaolin began communicating again using movements of his eyelid helped by a machine, in September 2012.
Shaolin passed away at 44 yrs old due to a heart attack.
